Recovery Fund Information:
The Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending maintains a recovery fund. This fund is established to make payments for certain actual out-of-pocket damages sustained by borrowers that are caused by acts of licensed residential mortgage loan originators.
To seek reimbursement from this fund, a written application must be filed with and thoroughly investigated by the department prior to any payment of a claim.
